Copper prices fall during Asian trading hours, with geopolitical arbitrage and trade policies affecting the market

According to CoinMeta, copper prices fell during the Asian trading session. Analysts at Societe Generale stated that given a series of new factors centered around regional arbitrage and trade policies affecting prices, the trend in this basic metals market seems increasingly difficult to interpret. Analysts pointed out that limited mine supply and growing demand from industries such as artificial intelligence have generally provided support for copper prices. However, tariff-related arbitrage activities have led to a large amount of copper inventory flowing to the United States, affecting inventory levels in other regions and making it difficult for the market to make judgments based solely on traditional analytical frameworks. Three-month copper futures on the London Metal Exchange fell by 0.1% to $14,230 per ton.
