According to CoinMeta, India plans to issue its first tokenized bond in September, which will be issued by REC. The scale is expected to be less than 5 billion rupees, approximately 57 million US dollars. Indian market regulators and the central bank are jointly promoting this pilot project, with blockchain technology being used for bond issuance and settlement. The initial term of the bond is three months, and investors will participate through wholesale central bank digital currency wallets and the DEMT 2.0 electronic securities wallet.
