According to CoinMeta, Franklin Templeton has received an unobjectioned approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to incorporate a $2.6 billion tokenized fund BENJI into its ETF and mutual funds as cash management or collateral. This plan still requires approval from the boards of directors of each fund. Franklin Templeton currently manages over 130 ETF and $82 billion in ETF assets, with mutual fund assets totaling $790 billion, and the tokenized asset market is currently valued at $38 billion.
