Storage sector funds withdraw; Number of holdings halved in 7 days

According to CoinMeta, the storage sector is still facing capital withdrawals, with the number of held positions halving over the past 7 days. Since the concentrated rebound in storage shares on July 30th, SKHX, SNKD, and MU on hyperliquid have risen by approximately 29.9%, 52.6%, and 28.5% respectively. However, the total value of open contracts for these three on hyperliquid has decreased from about $999 million to $677 million, a reduction of about $322 million, or 32.2%. The actual number of open contracts has also shrunk significantly: OI on SKHX has fallen from about $540 million to $385 million, a decrease of 28.7%; OI on SNKD has decreased from about $196 million to $157 million, a drop of 19.5%; and OI on MU has fallen from about $263 million to $134 million, a decrease of 49.1%. Over the past 7 days, the trend of deleveraging has continued, with the total value of these three on OI dropping from about $869 million to $677 million, a reduction of about $192 million, or 22.1%.
