According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Bloomberg, BlackRock has lowered the minimum transaction size for investors to subscribe for ETF shares in physical Bitcoin from $25 million to $1 million. Robbie Mitchnick, the head of BlackRock's digital assets, stated that the firm's spot Bitcoin ETF IBIT has completed more than $5 billion in such conversions. This mechanism allows investors to transfer Bitcoin into funds that hold the same asset and exchange it for ETF shares through authorized participants or market makers. The minimum threshold for processing such transactions at Bitwise has been reduced from $100 million to $3 million. Bloomberg reports that as U.S. regulators allowed physical subscriptions last summer, the market infrastructure for the migration of crypto assets to ETF continues to expand.
