According to CoinMeta, co-founder Dax Raad stated that in the past few days, Stripe has prevented approximately $323 million in fraudulent payment attempts on behalf of OpenCode. This amount is significantly higher than the money OpenCode has earned themselves. If these transactions had been allowed to proceed, they could have directly led to the collapse of the company. OpenCode has been fighting against such fraudulent activities recently; some users register thousands of GO accounts and resell the quotas by rotating proxies. On August 11th, Dax announced that 7,013 fraudulent accounts had been cleaned up, with an estimated monthly savings of $400,000.
