According to CoinMeta, after AMD (Supermicro) posted its financial results at the beginning of this month, analyst Simon Leopold raised their rating from "outperforming the market" to "strong buy" and increased the target price from $565 to $641, indicating a potential upside of about 40%. Approximately 72% of Wall Street analysts have given AMD a "strong buy" or "buy" rating. The stock price of AMD rose by 5% during afternoon trading. Leopold believes that AMD will become an important player in driving proxy services thanks to its powerful AI chips. In addition, he expects the server central processing unit (CPU) market to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 44% to around $201 billion by 2030. AMD surpassed Wall Street's expectations in the second quarter, with non-GAAP earnings per share of $1.66 and revenue growing by 50% to $11.5 billion, exceeding analysts' forecasts of around $11.34 billion. AMD also predicts that server CPU revenue will grow by 80% in the second half of 2026 and by 70% in 2027.
