According to CoinMeta, Oman's Foreign Minister Badr stated during his visit to Iran that Oman and Iran are expected to soon announce specific arrangements regarding the temporary navigation channels in the Strait of Hormuz and the restoration of safe passage through the strait. He posted on social media that he had engaged in "constructive dialogue" with Iran's Foreign Minister Araghzi. Badr mentioned that discussions about the future management of the Strait of Hormuz and permanent solutions will continue in subsequent stages in accordance with Article 5 of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. In addition, Oman and Iran will engage in discussions with regional partners to promote peace and cooperation, as well as to maintain regional stability and freedom of navigation. Earlier on the same day, Iran and Oman issued a joint statement proposing to establish a jointly agreed-upon safe maritime passage in the Strait of Hormuz.
