According to CoinMeta, the operator of the South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, Dunamu, has been designated by the South Korean Ministry of Public Security as an institution for the joint use of administrative information, making it the first cryptocurrency exchange operator in South Korea to obtain this qualification. Dunamu plans to use this system for user identity verification KYC, thereby reducing the process of users having to submit proof materials repeatedly and improving the efficiency of account opening and verification.
