According to CoinMeta, the U.S. Treasury Department has imposed broader sanctions on Iran's digital asset industry, as well as targeting a broker accused of handling over $100 million in cryptocurrencies for oil sales. Under the new regulations indicated by OFAC, foreign crypto companies face greater risks of sanctions when conducting transactions with Iranian counterparts.
