According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Bloomberg, fintech company Revolut has announced its entry into the global stablecoin competition by officially launching a stablecoin pegged to the euro, eurr. This stablecoin will initially be available to qualified customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal. In a statement, Revolut stated that eurr is “the first step” in its overall stablecoin strategy, with plans to launch tokens pegged to other fiat currencies in the future, aiming to capitalize on the central role of digital assets in cross-border payments and transactions between businesses.
