According to CoinMeta, the Australian Retirement Trust Fund manages assets worth approximately A$370 billion (about $265 billion). In the past six months, the fund has continued to increase its holdings of Japanese yen and increased its positions when the exchange rate of yen to US dollar approached 160, while simultaneously reducing its exposure to US dollars. The fund's senior portfolio manager stated that the market has overestimated the impact of energy prices on the yen and underestimated the possibility of the Bank of Japan raising interest rates. Currently, the Australian Retirement Trust Fund has a underweight of about 0.5 percentage points in US Treasury bonds, and Louca expects the yield on 30-year US Treasury bonds to rise towards 5.5%.
