2026-08-26 17:45:06
According to CoinMeta, Revolut announced the launch of its first stablecoin, EURR, which is pegged to the euro. The stablecoin has already begun to be promoted among some customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal, with plans to expand to other European Economic Area markets in 2026. EURR is issued by Bridge Construction Company (Bridge Building S.A.), and complies with the regulatory requirements of the EU market for crypto assets (MICA). Revolut stated that EURR will be available as an on-chain asset, allowing customers to access it directly through their retail applications. The company also plans to support asset transfers across multiple blockchain networks. The launch of EURR comes at a time when Revolut is removing USDT from accounts in Europe and Switzerland to comply with EU regulations for stablecoins.
