Schnabel warned that the European Central Bank must act promptly to prevent inflation from spreading to wages, with inflation expected to remain above the target of 2% for an extended period. The market is focusing on the US PCE price index and the second-quarter GDP revision, with the core PCE annual rate expected to be 3.3% and the month-over-month rate at 0.2%. Currently, the market estimates a 65% probability of interest rates remaining unchanged at the September FOMC meeting.
