According to CoinMeta, banking associations from 39 states in the United States plan to launch a new bank-led blockchain network to promote financial innovation, including tokenized deposits and stablecoins. These 39 associations have signed the "Bank Chain Alliance," with the goal of establishing this blockchain network by 2027. The network is promised to be secure and regulated, allowing various institutions to provide modern capabilities to continue serving their customers. The banking federation stated that they are still looking for technical partners to build this blockchain project and plan to achieve interoperability with other networks. As this news is released, banks are gradually adopting digital asset innovations to promote stablecoins and tokenized transactions. Last month, the globally used interbank messaging network SWIFT, which is widely adopted by the banking industry, announced that 17 banks, including Citibank and Wells Fargo, were testing tokenized digital asset transactions based on blockchain ledgers.
