BlackRock: US Treasury debt exceeds $40 trillion, supporting the theory of Bitcoin investment
2026-08-27 13:42:57
According to CoinMeta, BlackRock, the global digital assets leader Robbie Mitchnick, stated that as U.S. national debt approaches approximately $40.05 trillion, the long-term investment thesis for Bitcoin is gaining support. He pointed out that concerns about government borrowing are prompting some investors to consider assets outside of the sovereign currency system. Mitchnick believes that government debt and budget deficits are becoming the main focus of the market, and investors may increase their allocation to scarce assets. Mitchnick also mentioned that Bitcoin is benefiting from ETF capital inflows, short covering, a weakening dollar, and changes in the Treasury bond market.
