According to CoinMeta, the Pasteur hard fork of the Binance BNB chain will be activated on August 25th. After control tests, the throughput has reached 2,324 transactions per second. This upgrade will change block processing, cross-chain verification, and validator governance. All BSC mainnet nodes need to run version 1.7.7 of the client. The Pasteur upgrade combines three proposals: BEP-675, BEP-682, and BEP-695, each addressing different aspects of BSC operations. Tests have shown that the processing time for critical paths has been reduced from 125 milliseconds to 15 milliseconds, and the throughput has increased from 1,237 TPS to 2,324 TPS. The BEP-682 update changes the way BSC verifies blocks during cross-chain transfers, ensuring that validator signatures are checked before accepting information from other chains.
