SK to Sell 49% Stake in Ulsan Artificial Intelligence Data Center to Institutions Such as KKR

According to CoinMeta, the SK group plans to sell 49% of its artificial intelligence data center in Ulsan, South Korea, to several private equity firms. SK Telecom and SK Broadband are scheduled to approve this transaction at their board of directors meeting on August 27th. KKR will acquire 29% of the shares, while a consortium consisting of IMM Investment and Ishikawa Capital will purchase 20% of the shares. The transaction is valued at approximately 3 trillion Korean won, including about 1.2 trillion Korean won in capital increase.
