According to CoinMeta, Middle East (Timor-Leste) and China-Indonesia will further deepen their defense cooperation. Colonel Zhang Xiaogang, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, stated at a regular press conference on the afternoon of August 27th that Minister of National Defense Dong Jun was invited to visit East Timor and also attended the second ministerial meeting of the China-Indonesia "2+2" dialogue mechanism for foreign and defense ministers. This is a practical measure to implement the important consensus reached by leaders from the Middle East and China-Indonesia, aimed at further enhancing security mutual trust and defense cooperation, and serving to build a community with a shared future in the region. Currently, relations in the Middle East are at their best in history, and this is also the first visit by a Chinese defense minister to East Timor. Minister Dong Jun held meetings with the President and Prime Minister of East Timor to exchange in-depth views on bilateral and military relations, international and regional situations, as well as issues of common concern. Both sides will further deepen multilateral and bilateral defense cooperation to elevate the level of military ties between the two countries. China, together with Indonesia, will explore the potential for defense cooperation and promote the normalization and institutionalization of practical cooperation in areas such as equipment technology, joint exercises and training, personnel training, and maritime security, playing a key role in maintaining regional stability.
