According to CoinMeta, the founder of Instinct, Noah Shinn, is 23 years old this year and is the driving force behind a personal AI with a valuation of $2.5 billion, assisted by Instinct. He dropped out of Northeastern University in 2023 and has previously engaged in research on machine learning and programming languages at Northeastern and MIT. Shinn is the first author of the 2023 paper Reflexion by NeurIPS, proposing that agent should summarize mistakes after failures to form memories. The acceptance rate of this paper on Humaneval reached 91%, which is higher than the 80% of GPT-4. He also participated in the development of agent evaluation τ-bench, testing whether the model could communicate with users, call tools, and comply with business rules. Shinn later joined the company AI agent Sierra and became one of the early employees, serving as a research scientist.
