BTC: Strong rebound in August, may see new highs
2026-08-28 06:29:50
According to CoinMeta, as of today, Bitcoin’s performance in August 2026 is the strongest since 2017. The closing price on July 31 was around $63,000, while this year’s “high point for August” was $81,200 (on August 25). So far this month, it has risen by more than 25%, breaking the trend of consecutive declines in August over the past four years. Analysts point out that this rebound is not a “dead cat rebound,” but is accompanied by large volumes of trading, short covering, and strong inflows of capital into Bitcoin. In addition, the Treasury Department plans to increase the liquidity support for long-term bond repurchases from $2 billion to at least $4 billion starting September 9, which is seen as an important catalyst for the macroeconomy.
