Cardano Whales Buy ADA, Price Recovers to $0.211
2026-08-28 15:26:21
According to CoinMeta, Cardano ( ADA ) saw its trading price rebound to $0.210 on Friday, despite a decline of over 7% at the beginning of this week. On-chain data indicates that some large investors are accumulating ADA. Wallets holding between 10 million and 100 million ADA have purchased approximately 160 million ADA since Sunday. This suggests that some whales continue to see low prices as long-term buying opportunities. However, despite the whales' buying activity, the short-term pullback of ADA has not yet seen enough demand to reverse. Derivative indicators for Cardano show mixed prospects; data indicates that the long-to-short ratio is 0.90, near its lowest level in a month, suggesting that more traders are holding short positions. Nevertheless, the funding rate for ADA turned positive on Thursday and reached 0.0013% on Friday. This usually indicates an increase in long positions, although the long-to-short ratio still favors sellers. Overall, the whales' accumulation provides some encouragement, but the mixed derivative data and weakened momentum make the short-term recovery of Cardano still uncertain.
