According to CoinMeta, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics stated on Friday that the rate of employment growth from the beginning of 2025 to the beginning of this year may be slightly lower than previously reported figures. Over the 12 months ending in March, the number of new jobs created in the United States may be 79,000 fewer than previously reported, and the number of jobs in the private sector may be 178,000 less than previously reported, with the retail and wholesale trade sectors being the most significantly affected. Industries such as healthcare, private education, and professional and business services are also likely to have seen a lower number of new jobs than previously reported. However, transportation and warehousing are among the sectors that have seen an increase in employment, as is the information industry, while the federal, state, and local governments added 99,000 new jobs.
