According to CoinMeta, on August 28th local time, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif stated that the outcome of this war has proven that U.S. military bases in neighboring countries are utterly incapable of ensuring the security of those nations. These bases were designed from the outset with the sole purpose of "protecting Israel." Iran's strikes against these bases are a response to U.S. aggression; Iran has not attacked neighboring countries, but only targeted U.S. personnel and facilities. Countries without U.S. bases have remained unscathed. Zarif emphasized, "No matter where the U.S. bases are located, during the period when the United States goes to war with Iran, they are legitimate targets for Iranian attacks."
