Ethereum core developer schedules an abstract upgrade for the EIP-8141 account

According to CoinMeta, Ethereum core developers have scheduled an upgrade for the EIP-8141 account abstraction. The status of EIP-8141 has changed from "under consideration" to "scheduled," which means that the account abstraction is expected to be released alongside the Hegot upgrade. This move comes against the backdrop of EIP-8130 emerging as a competing design, which is planned to go live on Base in September, raising concerns about standard fragmentation between Ethereum’s L1 and L2. Developers are working towards a shared transaction standard that retains the flexibility of L1 while allowing for performance optimizations and resistance to DOS attacks, with the goal of achieving interoperability among accounts within the Ethereum ecosystem.
