According to CoinMeta, Cosmos Labs released a security incident report for the EVM module. From August 20th to August 25th, attackers exploited a vulnerability in Cosmos EVM to steal funds from multiple Cosmos chains. Six networks were attacked, with approximately $2.87 million in assets being sold on DEX after being bridged, and about $2.85 million in assets being sold on CEX. The attacker's CEX account has been frozen. Another 13 potentially at-risk networks promptly patched or took protective measures, resulting in no losses. This vulnerability was reported through the vulnerability bounty program on April 25th.
