Ethena Foundation ends investor unlocking, plans to use 95% of net income to repurchase ENA
2026-08-30 08:35:01
According to CoinMeta, the Ethena Foundation repurchased some seed round investors’ ENA through over-the-counter transactions and reached an agreement with major investors to end the ownership arrangements ahead of schedule. Starting from October 5th, no investor tokens will be in a locked-up state. The Ethena Labs and the foundation plan to allocate intellectual property rights and economic benefits to both the foundation and the token governance ecosystem. The foundation has initiated a governance proposal that aims to use 95% of the net income from three core businesses – USDE savings, white-label stablecoins, and Ethena X – for programmed repurchases of ENA after reaching a milestone on USDE, with 5% reserved for business growth.
