Federal Reserve Chairman Warsh: Inflation remains the main concern, markets expect interest rate hikes
2026-08-30 19:22:46
According to CoinMeta, as Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh delivered a speech at Jackson Hole, market expectations for interest rate hikes increased, leading to a significant rise in the yield of U.S. 2-year Treasury bonds, which has now surpassed 4.35%. Warsh emphasized that inflation remains the main concern for the Federal Reserve, and it is expected that if price pressures do not significantly ease, policymakers may further tighten policy. Bitcoin is currently trading around $78,000, and despite the increase in Treasury bond yields, there has been no significant decline in Bitcoin prices. The market's probability of a rate hike in September has risen from about 35% to 60%.
