According to CoinMeta, and as reported by the South Korean newspaper "Seoul Economic Daily," as concerns about the U.S. fiscal situation intensify in the market, gold is no longer just an asset that benefits from declining interest rates; it is also seen as a tool to hedge against the depreciation of the dollar and fiscal risks. According to data released on the 30th by ETF Check, in the past month, South Korean retail investors made net purchases of 10 domestic ETF products linked to spot gold and gold futures, totaling 114.02 billion Korean won (about 79 million US dollars). Among these, 5 spot gold ETF products saw net purchases amounting to 108.652 billion Korean won. Individual investors bought ACE KRX Gold Spot products worth 70.166 billion Korean won and Tiger KRX Gold Spot products worth 33.526 billion Korean won, respectively. The 5 gold futures ETF products attracted a total of 5.368 billion Korean won in funds from retail investors.
