SK Choi Tae-won, the chairman of the group, stated during a meeting with members of the Korea-Japan Chamber of Commerce in Sendai that SK Hynix is looking at multiple locations to build a factory that will be operated jointly by both parties. He said, "We are searching for sites across Japan. As long as there is sufficient electricity and water resources, any place will do." When asked about potential partners or specific locations within Japan, he refused to provide further details.
