Asian refiners increase purchases of Argentine crude oil

According to CoinMeta, Asian refiners have increased their purchases of Argentine crude oil. With the war in Iran disrupting the supply of crude oil from the Middle East, this has prompted Asian buyers to compete for crude oil resources from other regions. Informed traders stated that recently, refineries in Japan and South Korea have purchased Argentine Mendoza (medanito) crude oil, with at least one shipment having been loaded earlier this month. The quality of Mendoza crude oil is comparable to that of (WTI) crude oil. Since the outbreak of the war, sales of American crude oil shipped to Asia in September have increased by about 64%. Although the volume of Argentine crude oil flowing to Asia is still small, the interest shown by Asian buyers highlights the efforts of refineries to diversify their supply sources and strengthen energy security. According to Argentine government data, the country's average daily crude oil exports this year are 215,000 barrels, with the majority of that oil being exported to the United States and Chile.
