According to CoinMeta, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that it plans to carry out "large-scale strikes" against Ukraine's energy infrastructure. This move comes after a devastating attack on a warehouse near Kiev, further exacerbating concerns about another winter offensive. In a statement released on Sunday through Telegram, the Ministry of Defense framed the planned attacks as a response to Ukraine's ongoing attacks on Russian energy facilities. According to Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, the attack on a warehouse in western Kiev on Friday evening resulted in 38 deaths and four people missing, marking the deadliest Russian attack in Ukraine so far this year. Zelenskyy said that the attack occurred at an ammunition storage facility in the village of Myla and caused fires and explosions. Ukrainian officials said that emergency responders have managed to extinguish most of the fires. Zelenskyy described the incident as a "terrible situation" and blamed "those who stored explosives next to residents" for their serious dereliction of duty.
