According to CoinMeta, as reported by Nikkei News, the Japanese government's annual budget estimate for the fiscal year 2027 is expected to reach approximately 143 trillion yen. Based on general accounting standards, this figure significantly exceeds the 122.4 trillion yen of the 2026 fiscal year, setting a new historical high. The substantial increase in the budget request is mainly due to the establishment of an unlimited growth investment quota and the "integrated budget" system that takes into account both supplementary budgets and the initial budget. The amount of 143 trillion yen is about 2 to 3 trillion yen higher than the total of 140.6 trillion yen from the supplementary budget of the Suga Yoshihide administration in 2025 and the initial budget of 2026.
