Zcash Privacy transaction time expected to be reduced to 200 milliseconds

According to CoinMeta, the Zcash team released an open-source cryptography toolkit called Zakura Common on August 29th. This toolkit can reduce the construction time of certain private Zcash transactions from over three seconds to less than 200 milliseconds. Zakura Common replaced multiple cryptographic components used by wallets and full nodes. Developers stated that these changes improved the efficiency of proof generation, transaction verification, wallet scanning, and hash processing without altering the Zcash consensus rules. Benchmark tests showed that the proof generation speed on mobile devices increased by 14 times, and desktop performance improved by more than 5 times. Zcash, one of the co-founders, said that both privacy wallets and full nodes using Zakura Common will benefit from this update. This update did not shorten the Zcash block production or settlement times; it mainly targeted the cryptographic processes before broadcasting and during transaction verification.
