OpenAI starts charging based on results: Some major clients will only pay after the project is successfully completed. AI

According to CoinMeta, OpenAI has recently introduced a new payment model for some major clients in the past few months: customers are only required to pay after AI completes the task. The Information states that the scenarios where this model has been implemented already include customer service, where companies can pay based on the actual number of customer service tasks completed, rather than simply based on the number of calls or seats used. OpenAI has not disclosed the specific clients, unit prices, or the criteria for determining "task completion," and has also refused to comment on this. This "pay-per-result" model is not a new package offered to all companies; currently, the official website still primarily charges based on quotas and token. Therefore, it seems more like a contract negotiated separately with certain major clients. OpenAI hinted at this direction as early as January of this year, and CFO Sarah Friar suggested that in the future, AI's business model would include pay-per-result. In July, OpenAI further stated that compared to the unit price of token, it is more important to focus on the actual cost of completing the task.
