According to CoinMeta, the interest rate for 30-year fixed-rate mortgages in the United States rose to 6.81% today, while the yield on 10-year Treasury bonds approached 4.72%. Driven by inflation warnings from Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh, bond yields continued to rise, putting pressure on borrowers. The latest data shows that the average interest rate for 30-year fixed-rate mortgages was 6.81% on August 28, up from 6.75% the previous day and just below the 52-week high of 6.85%. The 15-year fixed-rate mortgage rate also reached 6.35%, close to its own 52-week high. According to the survey with Freddie Mac, the average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage rate was 6.66%.
