According to CoinMeta, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) ICE announced the acquisition of tZERO in order to advance its plans for a tokenized securities market. This transaction will add transfer agents and settlement infrastructure to ICE's plans. tZERO stated that ICE intends to establish a tokenized stock market related to NYSE.
