According to CoinMeta, Saudi Arabia plans to issue dollar-denominated Islamic bonds in order to increase lending and to address the impact of the war with Iran on its economy. Sources familiar with the matter revealed that Saudi Arabia will issue two tranches of dollar-denominated Islamic bonds with maturities of 5 years and 10 years respectively, with subscription orders exceeding $9 billion, not including the subscription shares of the lead underwriters. The initial price guidance for the 5-year bonds is about 100 basis points above the yield of U.S. Treasury bonds, and for the 10-year bonds, it is about 110 basis points. The final issuance size and pricing of the bonds, as well as other specific terms, may be determined later on Tuesday. In addition, Saudi Arabia is in preliminary negotiations for a new loan to raise at least $8 billion.
