Solana Achieves its First Monthly Gain of 40-50% in the First Month of the Year

According to CoinMeta, Solana ( SOL ) has seen its first “positive candle” in nearly a year, ending a streak of red months since September 2025. The latest monthly candle closed at around $103, marking a significant turnaround in the performance of SOL after a long period of selling pressure. In August, SOL performed strongly, rising by about 40-50% within the month and regaining the psychologically important $100 level. Meanwhile, a whale investor who had been inactive for eight months returned to the market and purchased 76,856 units of SOL for approximately $8 million. This wallet had remained inactive for eight months, and the recent purchase has increased whale activity surrounding SOL, which may indicate growing interest from wealthy investors. However, this move does not necessarily mean that the whale investor intends to hold these tokens or use them in further transactions. Currently, the trading price of Solana is around $102.47, with a decrease of 1.28% in the past 24 hours.
