Attackers exploited tokens with low liquidity to manipulate the prices of collateral, resulting in bad debts in lending agreements. DefiLlama data indicates that the total locked value in crypto asset lending agreements is close to $50 billion, with an active loan scale of nearly $29 billion. Tectonic suffered losses of over $70 million due to price manipulation of Tonic; after a chain rollback, attackers obtained approximately $6 million. Moonwell incurred losses of about $8.7 million due to price manipulation of the Mamo predictor.
