TD Cowen Analyst Sets Bitcoin's Target Price at $97,500 by the End of the Year
2026-09-02 10:39:48
According to CoinMeta, an analyst from Wall Street investment bank TD Cowen named Lance Vitanza has released a new research report, setting a target price for Bitcoin at $97,500 by the end of the year, which implies a potential increase of about 25% from the current price level of around $78,000. The bank has significantly revised its previously optimistic forecasts, lowering its baseline projection for the end of 2026 from around $140,000 to around $100,000. The analyst pointed out that the main reason for this adjustment is the recent weakness in coin prices, rather than a deterioration in fundamentals. Clearer regulations and inclusion in broader indices are still seen as potential catalysts. As a result, TD Cowen has lowered the target price for MicroStrategy ( MSTR ) from $400 to $260, but maintains a "buy" rating.
