According to CoinMeta, the Financial Services Commission of South Korea announced that it will operate the Digital Assets Working Group until 2028 in order to prepare for the formulation of the "Digital Assets Basic Act," the legislation of subordinate regulations, and the construction of infrastructure. The commission plans to determine the main contents of the "Digital Assets Basic Act" by 2026 and to promote the establishment of a comprehensive regulatory system. The relevant laws regarding security tokens have been approved by the National Assembly in January 2026 and are expected to be officially implemented in February 2027.
