According to CoinMeta, Strategy CEO Phong Le stated in an interview with Bloomberg TV that the company previously sold Bitcoin in the range of around $60,000 to $65,000, and recently bought it back at around $80,000. He emphasized that the buying and selling decisions regarding Strategy do not depend on the specific price of Bitcoin, but mainly on the cost of capital. Le also mentioned that selling approximately 7,000 BTC to pay some preferred stock dividends was the right move at the time; over the past two months, the company reduced its net debt from around $7 billion to zero and established a reserve of about $7 billion in US dollars. Currently, financing through the premium issuance of MSTR shares to purchase BTC is also considered a correct transaction. Le indicated that the company actually adopts a “two-way strategy,” and may still sell BTC under appropriate circumstances, but overall remains a net buyer of BTC. Even if the price of BTC rises to $90,000, $100,000, or even $130,000, as long as the cost of capital and expected returns are suitable, the company may continue to buy.
