Coinbase Launches Regulated Derivatives Trading in Canada

According to CoinMeta, Coinbase has announced the launch of regulated derivatives trading for eligible Canadian users, offering 23 types of perpetual and expiring futures contracts through Coinbase Financial Markets ( CFM ), covering crypto assets such as BTC, ETH, and SOL. The platform also supports up to 10x leverage. In addition, it will provide futures on five commodities including gold, silver, and oil, as well as index futures on Coin50. Coinbase stated that these products are provided by Coinbase Financial Markets, a futures brokerage firm registered in the United States under CFTC, and claimed to be the first major crypto-native platform to directly offer native crypto futures in Canada.
