According to CoinMeta, Paxos announced that its issued USDG has been natively launched on Mantle, becoming one of the first stablecoins to be directly issued on this Ethereum layer-2 network. The launch of USDG allows it to enter circulation without relying on third-party bridged packaging versions. Mantle utilizes Ethereum-compatible infrastructure to process transactions, enabling developers to use existing Ethereum tools while enjoying lower transaction costs and higher processing capabilities. USDG will provide dollar-pegged settlement and liquidity assets for the decentralized financial applications and tokenized investment products of Mantle. According to DefiLlama's data, the market capitalization of USDG is approximately $3.18 billion, ranking it as the seventh-largest stablecoin.
