Bottomline Collaborates with Chainlink to Promote Blockchain Payments in 600 Banks
2026-09-04 15:30:25
According to CoinMeta, Bottomline announced a strategic partnership with Chainlink aimed at providing cross-chain and cross-border payment solutions for its over 600 banking customers. This collaboration will connect a payment network that processes over $16 trillion annually with public and private blockchains, allowing participating financial institutions to access on-chain payment channels through a single network connection. Chainlink's cross-chain interoperability protocol will handle communication and tokenized value transfers between supported blockchain networks. This move will enable banks to continue using ISO's 20022 message standards for payment instructions without having to replace their existing information systems, while also achieving blockchain settlement.
