According to CoinMeta, as monitored by Bitcoin News, hackers from the coldcard wallet have begun to exchange about 10% of the stolen BTC for ETH through Thorchain. Galaxy Research indicates that the remaining 90% of the stolen BTC has not yet been utilized, and the attackers encountered multiple transaction rejections during the exchange process. Researchers have traced the relevant exchange activities to a single Ethereum address and have shared this information with relevant authorities and cryptocurrency companies. Galaxy Research reports that the exploit of this vulnerability resulted in 8,865 addresses losing 1,789 BTC, worth approximately 115 million US dollars.
