According to CoinMeta, it has been reported that the Chilean cryptocurrency platform Orionx announced the initiation of a permanent closure process. The company stated that a forensic audit revealed that over 7 million US dollars in custodial assets were transferred to wallets not managed by the company. They have already reported the incident to the authorities and initiated criminal proceedings against relevant former executives. Customer withdrawals have been temporarily suspended. The asset shortfall affects BTC, ETH, XRP, and Polygon. Orionx indicated that it is currently unable to guarantee a 100% return of customers' assets. The Chilean Financial Markets Commission (CMF) also mentioned that Orionx's application for registration and authorization was rejected in June of this year. At present, it is not an authorized or regulatory body for Orionx, and CMF is not responsible for its closure or the return of customers' assets either.
