According to CoinMeta, anonymous traders have bet over $1 million that the largest regulatory bill in the crypto industry will fail. The voting is scheduled for September 15th, but it is merely the beginning of the debate, not the adoption of the bill. The bill requires 60 votes to proceed, and since the Republicans only have 53 votes, at least 7 Democrats need to support it. Two anonymous whales have just bet about $1.5 million against the bill, and the current probability of its passage is around 15%, which is a significant drop from 82% in February. Traders expect a vote in the Senate, but they do not believe the bill will become law. If it fails, the bill may be put on hold after the mid-term elections.
