Harmony Protocol Proposes to Shut Down the Mainnet and Migrate to Ethereum
2026-09-07 08:21:03
According to CoinMeta, Harmony Protocol has released two non-binding proposals to completely shut down the Harmony mainnet, which was launched in 2019, to migrate the native token ONE to Ethereum, and to shift the business focus towards AI video secondary creation. According to the migration plan, Harmony will take a snapshot of the network at the final block, and then airdrop ERC-20 to the same address on Ethereum. ONE multi-signature wallets, liquidity pools, and on-chain applications cannot be directly migrated; the team recommends that users exit the smart contract before September 10th. In June 2022, the Horizon cross-chain bridge of Harmony was attacked and suffered a loss of approximately $100 million.
